A New Blog, a New Website, and Me (Like a Phoenix, but with Less Plumage)

An old phoenix rising from the ashes.

Hello Book Lovers!

Welcome to my shiny new blog, part of my shiny new website, in celebration of a not-so-shiny (but still spectacular) milestone: I’m turning 70 this year. Yep, seven-zero. To anyone under 40, this probably sounds no better than 80, 90, or “may she rest in peace.”

But guess what? I’m thrilled about it. I mean, how often do you get to kick off a new decade and call it a reboot instead of a breakdown? And to start things off, I teamed up with website wizard Stu Grant of Digital Authors Toolkit to build my gorgeous online home.

Now, about the blog:

  • What’s it about? Me (I know, shocking). My life: the good, the bad, and the “how did that even happen?” Also my husband’s life, which will make you grateful for your own.

  • My promise: To not take myself too seriously (unless there’s chocolate involved).

  • Length: Just enough to finish before your barista yells your name.

  • Frequency: At least once a week. I know, everyone says that, but I mean it. Probably.

A few years ago, at 65, I rebuilt my entire life from scratch (stay tuned for more on demolition derby meets personal growth seminar). My writing has always celebrated strong women finding their power, and that’s not changing anytime soon. I’m just doing it with more laugh lines and less patience for nonsense.

So there you have it. Still here? Excellent. It’s going to be a fun ride, and it won’t be nearly as fun without you.

❤️Margie
