Dear Friends,
It’s been eight days since NOT MY JOB ANYMORE launched, and I want to thank all of you for helping spread the word. Whether you posted a review, read my blog, liked a Facebook post, or simply followed along, I truly appreciate the support.
Launch week was fabulous. During a five-day free ebook promotion, more than 6,700 copies were downloaded. The book briefly reached a ranking of 35 on Amazon’s Top 100 Free Kindle Books list and ONE in Later-in-Life Romance.
The Goodreads response has also been encouraging, with readers especially connecting to the second-chance love story at the heart of the book. Kindle Unlimited page reads continue to grow as well, which helps new readers discover my work.
My book is published—now what do I do?
Here’s what I have lined up to keep the momentum going:
• Amazon ads to help the book reach its target audience
• The American Library Association convention in Chicago in June, where the book will be featured in the Independent Book Publishers Association booth—I’ll be there, come say hi!
• Advertising in Publishers Weekly
• A NetGalley listing to reach librarians, reviewers, and booksellers
• A podcast interview on May 12 with acclaimed author and serial entrepreneur Jill Ferguson on her Let’s Talk About Love Stories From Everywhere podcast—and more podcasts to come
• Visits to senior centers, bookstores, and book clubs, to be arranged
• A celebratory book release party with friends, wine, appetizers, and of course, books
If you have any ideas for other ways to spread the word, I’d love to hear them.
I’ve been publishing since 2017 and now have 14 books available. My business partner and I have decided it’s time to put more energy into helping these books find their readers.
Thank you again for being part of the journey.
❤️Margie
